Stephanie, Bishop’s Warden, is a junior majoring in Nutrition and minoring in Science Education. She hopes to bring a more interactive environment to all the members of Chapel House.  She is active in many Christian organizations at UF and plays guitar and sings in the band at Chapel House.  She enjoys swimming, singing, dancing, and cheering on the gators with Albert!!!  She is excited to see how God will move in her life and in the Chapel House community.

Brittany, our Bishop’s Jr. Warden, is a third year Animal Science major with an Equine Industry specialization and Agribusiness Sales and Marketing minor. She helps out around Chapel House by acolyting, welcoming, and organizing the upkeep of the property. She enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and playing Ultimate frisbee on her down time.

My name is Alex, I hail from the land of Maryland. Do I like Gators sports? Oh so very much! You can catch me outside on the grass playing frisbee. When I'm not doing that, I study so I never get a D. I'm sophomore now and my chemical engineering is study. I'm always open to making a new friend or buddy.

andrewAndrew is a graduate student specializing in African linguistics as well as an instructor of UF undergraduate courses. His home church is St. John's, Tallahassee and he has been involved with the Episcopal Church at the local, diocesan, and national level for well over a decade. In addition to teaching and studying, Andrew works out regularly at Ben Hill Griffin stadium, is a New York Times fanatic, and travels every opportunity that he gets – always visiting Anglican churches anywhere that he goes. Andrew looks forward to a great year at Chapel House, where everyone is welcome! :)

Elena eggs!Elena is one of our prayer ministry leaders and has been a faithful part of this community for numerous years. She is a Ph.D. candidate in entomology. She is our resident bug insect and expert! When she is not up to her elbows in thrips, she helps out by acolyting, singing, welcoming, praying for others, and with the prayers of the people.

GGarcia is an Anthropology major at the University of Florida and has been the lead singer in our praise and worship band for four years. She currently serves as our Music Coordinator. She brings a grace-filed mixture of sweetness and vibrancy to the group. She volunteers in the community and can be heard singing joyously in our kitchen. In recognition of her leadership, faithfulness, generosity, and hospitality Garcia received the 2008 Canterbury award.

Jack is a Junior at UF and is currently majoring in management and hopes to find a job where he can meet his love of talking to people.  He has been a counselor at Camp Weed, and tries to remain active in organizing and helping with youth and young adult events in the diocese, including Vocare.  He also plays the baritone ukulele, spray-paints things, and helps organize enjoyable events at the chapel.  He is thrilled and honored to help bring his home-away-from-home the spirit of fun and unity that attracted him to the Episcopal Church.  He is grateful for the journey God has given him and looks forward to what is to come.

Janelle wagonJanelle is a Junior at the University of Florida. She loves to read, and study history and French. She enjoys volunteering and is involved with Florida Alternative Breaks on campus, and attended VOCARE. Janelle hopes to bring more volunteer opportunities to Chapel House this year as Outreach Minister.

JustinJustin is a 4th year religion major who sleeps too much, cooks like he’s insane, helps as if his life depended on it, and writes as if his head will explode.  Also, videogames. Paul is a second year student majoring in Finance.  He is an avid basketball player and football player.  He is looking forward to doing community service with Chapel House.

Shayna gatorShayna is a Junior at the University of Florida in the College of Nursing.  She plans to OB/GYN nurse and work in the labor and delivery unit.  She is involved in Sigma Phi Lambda ( a Christian sorority) and Alpha Phi Omega ( a coed service fraternity).  She is looking forward to co-hosting the Homecoming brunch and planning service events at the St. Francis House this upcoming year. She is thankful for all the great opportunities God has given her and is excited to see his plan for her this year.

Sven treeSven-Ole is an international graduate student from Germany who was baptized at the Chapel, and recently was confirmed into the Episcopal Church. He helps out around the Chapel in a many ways--ushering, offering hospitality, and as our football game day coordinator. Some gator fans have asked if they might start a Sven Fan Club for "The Germ."

MollieMollie, a Junior from Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida, is the Chapel House ping pong and rugby master. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she brings an every present smile and energy to everything she does. This year she will help us implement a peer ministry program as well as helping us with our acolyting program.


Keri, a Senior from South Florida majoring in English Literature, hopes to be an editor one day.  We love having her around the Chapel because she is so very cheerful, friendly, and helpful!  A UF model, she was a harder worker on our mission trip to Galveston last summer to help with restorations after Hurricane Ike.
