  Celebrate the Spirit of Thanksgiving

on Sunday, November 22

On Sunday, November 22, St. Patrick’s will celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving with a joyous celebration of God’s abundance, and an opportunity to give to those less fortunate.  Everyone is asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank.  But don’t just put them in the food bin!  At the time of the offertory, all donated food items will be brought forward and included in our beautiful Thanksgiving display of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other symbols of God’s generosity.  Let’s make our Thanksgiving display overflow with generous gifts to our neighbors in need.  Suggested food items include: canned meats, vegetables, and fruit; peanut butter, pasta, rice, and beans.  Celebrate with your church family on November 22 knowing that you are giving of your abundance in thanksgiving for the gifts that God has given your family.

Fall UTO Ingathering

The Fall United Thank Offering Ingathering will be on November 8. You are invited to "count your blessings," - those coins you have put in your Blue Box in thanksgiving for large and small daily gifts from God that brighten your life and the lives of those around you. Bring your coins or a check to your church so that your offering can be joined with the offerings of other thankful people.

The power of the Blue Box is unlimited. Your prayers and offerings have built churches and schools, made needed renovations, fed the hungry, clothed the poor, provided shelter for the homeless and have provided care and support for those with physical, mental and emotional challenges. If you do not have a blue box (or a blue envelope) they are available on the tract rack at the rear wall in the fellowship area.
