Welcome
A Message from the Rev. Patricia Daniel-Turk:
Advent Sundays Advent begins this Sunday, November 30. You'll see the new colors in our hangings, new readings, and an excitement in the air as we anticipate the coming of our Lord. You've already read how the music will change. So will Christian Formation time between services. For the entire month, Christian Formation will include all ages learning and sharing together in the sanctuary. The first Sunday (Nov.30) we will be exploring The Language of Advent. The remaining three Sundays leading up to Christmas (Dec. 7, 14, 21) we will be viewing the movie, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."Folks of all ages will enjoy watching the story unfold. Since we will be watching it in three parts, we hope you will make plans to be there for all three of those Sundays during Christian Formation time, 9:45- 10:20. Special Weekday Offerings During Advent Do you miss Morning Prayer? Love Compline? Yearn for Bible Study? For the three Wednesdays during Advent, December 3, 10, and 17, we will offer what you've been asking for. For the morning person: The Daily Office of Morning Prayer at 8:30, followed by Bible Study from 9:15- 10:30. Come for one or both as your schedule permits. All are welcome. At close of day: Bible Study and the reading of Compline (sometimes described as the "good night prayers of the church") from 7- 8 PM. Enhance your experience of the season by participating in these offerings.
