Prayer Ministers and Anointing

Prayer Ministers are always available to you at the back of the church during Holy Communion at the 10:00 a.m. Service. Anointing and the Laying on of Hands are available after the Service. The church is in need of additional Prayer Ministers for Sunday Services. If you feel led by the Lord to this Ministry, please sign up on the kiosk for the forthcoming training session.




Flower Guild

St. Margaret's Parish has established a Flower Guild to rearrange the floral gifts to the church each Monday and see to their distribution to shut-ins and others of our church family in times of need, strife, or celebration. This Guild is open to both men and women. A sign-up sheet has been provided on the church kiosk.



Altar Flower Donations

Our Altars are graced with beautiful flowers each week in honor of our Lord and to enhance our worship. We lack sponsors for many weeks of this New Year. Please review the Flower Chart and place your gift on a special date or occasion.




Stewardship and Your Pledge

It is never too late to submit your pledge card. Stewardship is lifelong, year-round, and not just during our annual November campaign.


Acolyte Training

Keep watching the bulletin for the next dates for crucifer and torch bearer training. Crucifers must be 12 years of age, and Torch Bearers must be 6 years old.




Potential Sunday School Teachers

Please sign up on the Kiosk to be a Sunday School Teacher. If you have not taken the Safeguarding Our Children class, this will be a requirement.


Bingo Night

Come and join us on Friday, October 9th in the Parish Hall at 6:00 p.m. for dinner and another round of "Mortgage Bingo." Gerry Trane's famous chili will be provided, so please bring your favorite side dish or dessert that serves approximately four people.

We will also have other games for kids and/or folks who aren't interested in playing Bingo.





Hubbard House in Need of Cell Phones

Please donate any old or unused cell phones along with the charger and manual if you have them. This will aid the women of the Hubbard House, and phones will be reprogrammed and used to call 911 only for emergencies. Please drop them off at the Church Office and we will see that they get to their destination.


St. Margaret's Children's House

SMCH offers Voluntary PreKindergarten for children who are four years old by September 1st. There is no fee for the VPK program. Additional information may be obtained by calling the school office at 284-1808.


Come to Camp!

All  church youth are encouraged to attend camp this summer at Camp Weed. Visit www.campweed.net for registration forms, brochures, health forms, and scholarship applications. the deadline for registration is May 31st! There are many things in the works to make this year's experience a great one. Get ready to come and have fun this summer!




New Office Hours

Starting in July, the office will be closing at noon on Fridays.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Now that Betty Ledbetter is moving, we will meet every 4th Thursday of the Month at 3:00 p.m. in Classroom #1. Anyone interested is always welcome, and we look forward to seeing you.



Summer Choir

Everyone is invited to join the Summer Choir. There is no weeknight practice -- just a simple rehearsal on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am in the Church. This is not an all-summer obligation; simply come whenever you are in town. Contact Matt Daniel or any Parish Choir member for more information.


Help the Tree of Faith Continue Growing!

The Tree of Faith Campaign is counting on your generosity! Many leaves are in need of sponsors. There are fliers on the kiosk in the Narthex for you to take. For more information, contact any of the committee members: Tom Armstrong, Shirley Trane, Willard Kennedy, Frank Miller, Margaret Gibbs, or Phil Vetter. The Vestry's goal is to pay off the loan in two years from the start of the Tree of Faith Campaign to maintain the interest cost to a minimum.




Keep up the GCS Food Pantry Donations

Donations for the Green Cove Springs Food Pantry of any canned meat, fruit, or tomatoes; boxed macaroni and cheese; peanut butter, cereals, jam and/or jelly will be gratefully accepted. The need this year is greater than ever due to the economic downturn.
