Lay Positions

Youth Director - Part-time

St. George

Jacksonville

Description: The ideal candidate should know how make the most of what we have and leverage St. George’s strengths (i.e. its warmth, its gorgeous setting, its passion) to compensate for its drawbacks (i.e. its remote location and its…I honestly can’t think of any other weaknesses). A sense of humor is a must, as is a sense of genuine awe for the beauty of God’s grace. You must be laid back and adaptable, and not afraid to be the only one in church singing. A solid Biblical knowledge is strongly desired, but not as much as a true understanding of salvation and the ability to share, listen, empathize, teach and, more importantly learn with an open heart. Practically speaking, the successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history and own a vehicle with insurance that they aren’t afraid of having soda spilled in. This position also requires the successful completion of a background check, negative drug screening, and completion of the Episcopal Church Safeguarding programs.
