Working on staff at Camp Weed is more of a calling than a job.
Responsibility and initiative on the part of each staff member is
essential. Summer camp is not a vacation for staff, but rather hard
work, long hours and many many smiling faces to reward you. We are
looking for Christian role models who have a desire to work with a
diverse population of children in a camp setting. Staff members are
chosen first on the basis of spiritual and emotional maturity and
their ability to relate to the campers, and second on their
individual skills and talents. All Summer Camp Staff is expected to
enthusiastically participate in the camp program as a whole no
matter what job they hold. Staff becomes a family who constantly
helps and supports each other at all times. Working at Camp Weed is
a rewarding experience. Know that your efforts really do make a
difference in the campers' lives.
There is no place at Camp Weed for gossip, questionable ideals,
profane language, inappropriate stories or actions, or poor
sportsmanship. Use of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol is not allowed at
Camp Weed and any such use will result in termination.

starting in September 2016 and will stay open until positions are

LEADERS IN TRAINING
All potential LITs must attend Session I (June 18-23) and
complete a LIT application. LITs may receive an application
at Session I by attending the LIT informational meeting.
Before and during this session, interviews will be held and
assignments to LIT sessions will be made. There are always
more applicants than available openings.
